VicRuns VD30A
Cabinet-built, low- and medium-voltage frequency converter for direct drive of large industrial motors — 380 V to 3.3 kV standard voltage classes, with fully customized cabinet builds available to match your installation and motor requirements.
Every VD30A cabinet is engineered to order. Need a voltage, power, or footprint outside the standard classes above? Contact us — customization is fully supported.
A three-phase uncontrolled rectifier bridge converts incoming AC to a regulated DC bus, with a DC choke to improve input power factor and suppress bus voltage ripple.
The machine-side IGBT inverter converts the DC bus into variable voltage, variable frequency AC, with a DC soft-start circuit to limit inrush current at power-up.
Power and rectifier modules are modular, bolt-in assemblies positioned for easy access, so installation and field maintenance are quick and straightforward.
An optional du/dt inductor reduces output voltage rate-of-rise to protect motor winding insulation, while an optional braking unit dissipates regenerative energy during deceleration.
Supports V/F control, sensorless vector control (SVC), and closed-loop vector control with encoder feedback (FVC) for precise speed and torque regulation.
Delivers 0–300 Hz output, suiting both standard-speed pumps and fans and high-speed direct-drive applications.
